Life can feel overwhelming—especially when you're navigating trauma, grief, addiction, anxiety, or major life transitions. These challenges can shake your sense of identity, safety, and hope. You may find yourself carrying emotional burdens that feel too heavy to bear, questioning your purpose, or struggling to connect with others. But you don’t have to walk this journey alone.

I hold a Doctorate in Community Care and Traumatology and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor to walk with people who are seeking hope. My approach is compassionate, faith-informed, and evidence-based.

In addition to being a veteran myself, I’m the wife of a retired combat veteran, and a mother of three. I’m fluent in Spanish and English. I specialize in trauma-informed care for adults. My areas of focus include adult survivors of childhood trauma, substance use, depression, anxiety recovery and deployment-related trauma.

I am trained in the following evidence-based modalities:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy)

  • DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

When requested, I integrate Christian faith-based approaches and prayer into therapy, honoring your spiritual needs while maintaining clinical integrity.

I also serve as a Florida Board-Approved Qualified Supervisor, providing supervision for registered mental health counseling interns pursuing licensure.

Shame says that because
I am flawed,
I am unacceptable.

Grace says that though
I am flawed,
I am cherished.

Broken Trunk

“Indeed there is hope for a tree.
If it’s cut down and still sprouting and its shoots don’t fail, if its roots age in the ground and its stump dies in the dust, at the scent of water, it will bud and produce sprouts like a plant.”
