At Mara Grace Counseling, we are a collaborative team of mental health professionals with diverse backgrounds, training, and lived experience. What unites us is a shared passion for mental wellness and a deep heart for serving our community. We believe healing is not one-size-fits-all, and we are committed to meeting each person with compassion, respect, and care.
Our team includes experienced clinicians as well as counseling interns who are thoughtfully supported and guided in their professional development. All interns practice under the direct supervision of our founder and clinical director, Dr. Mara Mesa. Dr Mesa is a Florida qualified supervisor and licensed Mental Health Counselor, ensuring high-quality, ethical, and attentive care.
We offer services ranging from couples counseling and adolescent counseling to individual therapy and life coaching. Whether you are navigating a season of transition, rebuilding after hardship, or seeking deeper connection and growth, we are here to walk alongside you. Wherever you are in your healing journey, you don’t have to take the next step alone—we’re ready to meet you with support, expertise, and compassion.
Master’s Level Student Intern Counseling
As part of our commitment to serving the community with care and compassion, Mara Grace Counseling offers more affordable counseling options with Master’s Level Student Interns, when available. These interns are graduate students completing their counseling degrees and gaining hands-on experience while walking alongside clients in meaningful seasons of growth and healing.
All intern services are directly supervised by Dr. Mara Mesa, Founder and Clinical Director of Mara Grace Counseling and a Florida board-certified Licensed Mental Health Counselor. This ensures that care is thoughtful, ethical, and closely supported every step of the way.
We believe that healing happens best in spaces rooted in grace, safety, and support—and we are honored to offer this option to those seeking accessible care.
What to Expect When Working With a Student Intern
It’s completely natural to have questions or hesitations about working with a student intern. Many clients are pleasantly surprised by how supported and cared for they feel. Interns bring current training, deep attentiveness, and a sincere desire to serve—while being closely guided by an experienced, licensed clinician.
